Otra's products follow the "upcycling" movement which aims to re-evaluate the worth of waste by giving it second life. This Ilk is a creation of Tamara Bavdek, industrial design graduate, who discovered a new purpose for guipure lace which she started turning into jewelry just over 3 years ago.

Her line combines the comfortable light weight and the ornamental aesthetic qualities of high quality new and vintage lace into a collection of 1960's inspired statement jewelry. From large earrings and bracelets, to necklaces and body harness pieces, lace and chain intertwine to reinvent the way jewelry can be worn.

Sourcing rare fabrics, designing, hand dyeing, stiffening and assembling are all part of the fabrication process. The collection is quite diverse allowing everyone to find a unique piece that fits their taste.

James Braithwaite is two children cleverly disguised as an adult. These two kids, Rutger and Kirk, have been at this gig for 33 years, and never really got the hang of it. If you see James Braithwaite teetering around, you might want to watch your fingers, because he is a little bitey at times. In their leisure time, these two scamps like to draw stuff, and sometimes they make those drawings wiggle about.

Nothing makes flower grower and collage artist, Jackie Basset (Studio Flower Power) happier than to be able to make her little living as an artisan.

While still producing her greeting cards made with real, homegrown, pressed flowers, she is even more impassioned by her more recent projects of upcycling antique book pages and maps into prints. Using vintage maps from the 1940's and 50's from her exclusive collection from England (they are actually printed on cloth) she then takes them apart and prints on them; mostly portraits; then, she mounts them on very thick card stock and sells them as little unique art works ready to be framed and at a very reasonable price.

originally created/curated by jason botkin and tim barnard, and now under the direction of botkin and rupert bottenberg, en masse is an ongoing series of artistic conversations, a non-linear dialog connecting many artists through the creation of large-scale collaborative black and white murals. the shape and character of each specific en masse event is defined by those creators who take part in the project, and the energies they individually and collectively bring to the mix.
